Throughout the weekend there are a number of talks and demonstrations related to the world of Bonsai and Japanese Culture, as well as an opportunity to see or even purchase Bonsai. All welcome to attend the full weekend or odd events.Talks are in Spanish.
All activities are free of charge.

March 15th, 2014
9.00 am. Accreditations.
10:00 am Opening of display
10.30 am. Demonstration and talk about the art of Bonsai by Antonio Torres
11.00 am. Bonsai Workshop tailored especially for children
11.00 am. Demonstration Shanshui Shuihan Penjing (Creating Bonsai Landscapes) by Tomás López Hernández
11.15 am. Karate Demonstration by the Japanese association of Alicante
11.30 am official act of Inauguration of the XII Mediterranean Bonsai Conference Bonsai -XII Bonsai Memorial Francisco García Rivas and VI Provincial Bonsai Congress with the presence of the Honorable Mr. Fuchigami ( Consul General of Japan ), Eduardo Dolon Mayor of Torrevieja, and assorted local councillors
11.30 am. Raku Demonstration (Japanese cooking pots and clay design)by José A. Guerao
12.00 Midday . Bonsaï Demonstration (Antonio Torres)
12. -00 . Appaku Demonstration (Japanese Massage) by Begoña Tomasto
12:30 pm Informative talk” Spain – Japan: first bridge between Europe and the Far East.”
The talk includes a documentary projection about Saint Francisco Xavier, after whom the nearby town of San Javier is named, one of the first Spanish individuals to have made contact with Japan.
14.00 pm Closure of the exhibition for lunch.
16:00 pm Exhibition re-opens
16:15 pm . Shiatsu Demonstration (Japanese Massage) given by Begoña Tomasto
16, 30 pm Talk about Bonsai by Antonio Torres
16:30 pm . Colloquium – Concert – Quartz Bowls with Alexis Zaragoza
17.00 pm . Demonstration – Ikebana by Juan Carlos Lopez Alfonso.

Day 2, March 16th, 2014
10:30 am . Opening of the exhibition.
11:00 am. Bonsai demonstration by Manuel Diaz
11.00 am . Origami workshop by the Japanese Association of Alicante.
11.00 am A special Bonsai workshop for Children.
12.00 Midday. Demonstration of Shiatsu (Japanese Massage) by Begoña Tomasto
12:15 pm . Demonstration of Japanese calligraphy by the Japanese association of Alicante.
12.30 pm. Colloquium – Concert – Quartz Bowls with Alexis Zaragoza
14.00 pm Close for lunch
16:00pm Re-open
16.30 pm . Bonsai Demonstration ( carrying on from the demonstration given during the morning)
17:00 pm . VI Congress of the Spanish Provincial Assembly of the Bonsai Spanish Association
18.00 pm . Event closes
