Tragic weekend on the roads of Valencia. Two people were killed and five others injured in various accidents that occurred yesterday in the provinces of Valencia and Alicante.
An 83-year-old man and a 78-year-old woman died on Sunday in an accident in the town of Pineso by the frontal crash of two vehiclesin which an 11-year-old girl and a 67-year-old man were also injured.
According to the Emergency Information and Coordination Centre (CICU), the notification of the incident was received around 3 p.m. and a Samu ambulance and two Basic Life Support units were dispatched to the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 67-year-old man who has also been transferred to the hospital, according to the same sources.
It wasn’t the only incident. A few hours earlier in the vicinity of Ontinyent Three other people were injured in various ways when the vehicle in which they were travelling overturned.
The accident occurred during the night of Saturday to Sunday on the CV-650 in the municipality of Ontinyent. In this case the injured were a man and two women
According to the Emergency Information and Coordination Center (Cicu), one of the injured women had to be transported by helicopter to a hospital. A Basic Life Support (BLS) unit transported a 39-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman to the Ontinyent Hospital.
In addition, a SAMU transferred a 37-year-old woman to the same hospital, but she was finally referred by helicopter to La Fe University Hospital in Valencia.
On the other hand, Alicante registered last weekend a total of five major road accidents with trapped and wounded, one of them with a fire rescue included. In addition, eight people were sanctioned for speeding, five for not having a license, one for falsifying documents with a forged license, two for traffic reports, one driver for drug use, and one for making major repairs to a moped.
