Aemet has activated the orange warning in the provinces of Alicante and Valencia, as in areas such as Xàtiva mercury can rise to 44 degrees and in the rest of both provinces the maximums will be above 38 degrees. Castellón is not free from heat, for example in Segorbe the maximum can reach 39 degrees. And the rains can return during the afternoon, especially in inland areas after a daytime evolution that could leave isolated showers or storms.

Healthcare activates heat alert in 165 municipalities of the Comunitat
The Ministry of Universal Health and Public Health has activated the health alert for high heat (orange level) in 165 municipalities of the Comunitat Valenciana after receiving the predictions of the Centre for Environmental Studies of the Mediterranean CEAM.
Specifically, the health alert is activated by orange level for today Friday and tomorrow Saturday in the thermoclimatic zones 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 22, 23, 25, 26 and 28 that include municipalities that can reach high values of temperature.
The thermoclimatic zone 15 is formed by the municipalities of Sinarcas, Utiel, Requena, Camporrobles, Siete Aguas, Benagéber, Caudete de las Fuentes, Fuenterrobles, Venta del Moro and Villargordo del Cabriel.
The thermoclimatic zone 16 is formed by the towns of Ayora, Jalance, Cofrentes, Cortes de Pallás, Jarafuel, Teresa de Cofrentes and Zarra.
The thermoclimatic zone 17 includes the municipalities of Enguera, Bicorp, Bolbaite, Anna, Chella, Dos Aguas, Millares, Navarrés and Quesa.

The thermoclimatic area19 includes the towns of Ontinyent, Beniatjar, Carrícola, Llutxent, la Pobla del Duc, Moixent, Vallada, Agullent, Aielo de Malferit, Aielo de Rugat, Albaida, Alfarrasí, Atzeneta d’Albaida, Bèlgida, Bellús, Benicolet, Benigànim, Benissoda, Benisuera, Bufali, Castelló de Rugat, El Palomar, Guadassequies, l’Olleria, Montaverner, Montesa, Montitxelvo, Otos, Pinet, Quatretonda, Ràfol de Salem, Rugat, Salem, Sempere and Terrateig.
The thermoclimatic zone 22 includes the municipalities of Villena, la Font de la Figuera, Beneixama, Biar, Campo de Mirra/el Camp de Mirra, Canyada, Fontanars dels Alforins, El Pinós, Novelda, Petrer, Elda, Hondón de las Nieves, La Romana, Agost, Alguenya, Aspe, Hondón de los Frailes, Monforte del Cid, Monóvar, Salinas and Sax.

The thermoclimatic zone 25 includes Beniardà, Benimantell, El Castell de Guadalest, Sella, Xixona, Aigües, Busot and Relleu.
The thermoclimatic zone 26 includes Torremanzanas, Castalla, Ibi, Onil and Tibi.
The thermoclimatic zone 28 is formed by the towns of Orihuela, Almoradí, Albatera, Algorfa, Benejúzar, Benferri, Bigastro, Callosa de Segura, Catral, Cox, Daya Nueva, Daya Vieja, Dolores, Formentera del Segura, Granja de Rocamora, Jacarilla, Rafal, Redován, Rojales and San Isidro.
It must be taken into account that the same region can cover different thermoclimatic zones established by CEAM.
In view of the increase in temperatures, the Ministry of Health has established recommendations aimed at vulnerable groups, such as the elderly, people with chronic diseases, those who work exposed to high temperatures, as well as children.
In this sense, the Health Department recommends avoiding going out in the hottest hours of the day. It is also advisable to wear loose, lightweight, light-coloured clothing and to protect your head with a cap or hat.
Inside the home it is recommended to close blinds and lower awnings on facades exposed to the sun to avoid excessive heat, as well as to locate in cooler areas of the house.
It is advisable to drink water frequently, even if you are not thirsty; to avoid excess alcohol and drinks with a lot of caffeine; and to substitute hot and heavy meals with cold dishes, fresh fruits and vegetables.
