EMT workers in ValEncia start this tuesday 15 september the calendar of mobilisations called by the works council with a two-hour strike in three shifts from 7 to 9 a.m., from 4 to 6 p.m. and from 00:00 to 02:00 at night during five days of this September (15, 17, 22, 24 and 29) and on October 1. The number of hours will gradually increase as time goes by, so that in October it will be 4 hours in each shift, in November 6 hours and in December 8 hours.

8 hours in each shift.
The minimum services have been set at 60% of the service in the area of operations, as reported by the municipal company.
The reasons for the strike
This Monday the two parties met at the Labour Arbitration Court (TAL) to call for a strike and concluded without agreement. According to the president of the committee, Gabriel de las Muelas, the representative of the management of EMT at the meeting, the head of Labor Relations, did not want to set a schedule of meetings under the pressure of the strikes.
The works council has already requested interviews with the mayor, Joan Ribó, and his government partner PSPV to inform them of the company’s problems.
The reasons for the conflict focus on the ratification of the preliminary convention agreement signed on 13 March by the EMT Board of Directors, on breach of contract of August 21 for the outsourcing of the work of the technical area, and the non-payment of absence premiumThe company will be able to receive training bonuses and agreement days in 2019.
They are also mobilizing for the removal of the temporary toiletsand for adequate cleaning and maintenance of all, as well as for greater protection against COVID-19.
The Works Council has also agreed to request the convocation of the Board of Directors, including in that meeting the approval of the preliminary agreement of agreement, signed on March 13.
